Referee recertification for 2017 continues through June 30, 2017. Referees who were last certified in 2015 or 2016 must recertify in order to work as a referee. All recertifications are done online at www.nevadareferee.org and click on the 'registration' tab. Referees who have not recertified as of July 1, 2017 will be unable to referee through the end of 2017.
Recertification basically involves 3 steps: online training, testing, fee payment IN THAT ORDER.
After clicking the registration tab, click 'Referee' found under the registration area, then choose your particular category, i.e. grade 8 recertification. The steps will then be displayed for you.
Step 1--For online training, you can click either 'English' or 'Spanish' and you will be taken to the US Soccer online training site for your particular grade. You will need to complete ALL modules of the online training.
Step 2--For testing, click the 'testing' button near the top of the webpage. You will see a green asterisk next to the test you are required to take. Click that link and follow the instructions for testing.
Step 3--After testing is complete, return to the recertifcation page. Under step 3, you will be directed to the US Soccer website, Force, which is where your fees are paid. Do NOT click 'sign up', click login in order to access your account.
Successful completion of these steps will recertify your referee status for 2017.
If you first received your referee certification after completing a referee class AFTER July 1, 2016, you do NOT need to recertify as your certification is good for 2017.
Late fees will apply for those recertifying after December 31, 2016.
